Verse of the day:
Luke 6:28

Hair is too culturally significant to everyone. There isn't one group of people that didn't have styles and manners of wearing their hair that didn't mean something special. Once upon a time, a persons hair could tell you if they were rich or poor, it could tell a person how old you were, if you were married or widowed, if you were a high ranking 1st class citizen or a peasant, if your culture had tribes, it told people which tribe you were from. In many ways, hair was the first ID.
2.People were FORCED to hide it or cut it off.....that's not without reason, it
MEANT something, and taking it away was the eraser of that person's real identity, it was a disconnect from their culture and way of living. Imagine, being shaved like an animal and not being able to find your loved ones because you've quite literally lost who you are. Imagine tribes who's hair was a token to victories in battle, having their trophies ripped away, or those who's hair showcased their purity and innocence having it taken away. If it's just hair, why was it always one of the first things to get discarded. You could argue it was to keep away lice and other hair bugs....but that could only be a part of the truth.
3. Its one of the roots to our lineage, from its color to its texture and even the way in which it grows. There is a lot that can be learned from it. Hair is a beautiful testament of who we are, where we came from and where we're going. It's a special part of our cultures and I believe it should be cherished.
