Verse of the Day:

Hosea 10:12

Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap teh fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the LORD, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you.

The Lord really does work in mysterious ways...of all the things I expected to happen on a random night in September....being able to log back in to my Tik Tok after months of trying to get access back was not one of them.

Back in March, after much thought and prayer, I decided to walk away from the platform for awhile. I don't buy into the illusion of the idea that we as users on social media are fully in control of the things we see on our fyp, the algorythim is curated by the host of a platform, not those using it and I stand by those sentiments. I was being shown a lot of disturbing things, news from all over the world that weighed on me emotionally and spiritually, not only that, I started to feel very alienated and co-dependent on the dopamine that comes with a "successful" post. Having constant engagement, likes, follows and interactions became NEEDED in a very unhealthy manner. There were times I was starting to feel over looked and ignored, I started to feel like I failed at my mission to build a community of Godly believers, Inspired Artisans and overall lovers of life and humanity....My "why" was to love people, it still is, but I lost my way in trying to obtain more favor with people, and so I decided to walk away...just to get back to my roots. I was afraid of becoming too performative and obsessed with being the face of positivity for others while my own life felt like it was falling apart.

I left with promises that I would return in July for the grand reopening of my online store: Jcreations by Jcr8s. I logged out and deleted the app from all my devices so that I would not be tempted to break. I used my time wisely. I made new art, I made prints, I designed a new logo and with the help of my beloved husband, I was able to successfully open my online store on July 1st...now all I had to do was log back in and return but when I tried, I discovered I was locked out and every try was met with tiny red letters saying I'd used up my login attempts for the day (even on days when I'd only tried once), to say I was devastated would be an understatement. I cried for days, I was angry and I felt as if I was being made fun of for trying to make social media work...because for a time, it did.

Then I had a thought: What if God was protecting me from something? what if the door being closed was only temporary so that he could handle some things that I myself could not? Everything in my life and about it, is spiritually intentional and I've never had a good reason to doubt Yahweh would lead me in the right direction, even if I didn't always understand it. I wrestled with it in prayer. There were days I accepted it and days I challenged it, days I tried to pretend it did not bother me....but it hurt. I grudgingly moved on, but the thought of "what if" still lingered.

September 9, 2026 was one of those days, like so many others that I tried to log in to the app on the whim of a "what if"...only to find that my agonizing prayers had been answered.....at first it felt like a trick....I asked myself, "What's the catch" as I was freely able to scroll on my page after months of silence...then the question: what now?

I ASKED to be back....now what am I going to do with it.... the answer to that will be done in due time, not said in present words :) for I strive to be a woman of my deeds so that at the end of all this I can say with confidence that I have lived, I have loved and I have learned....my God, did I learn.

"For the love of life and the pursuit of the arts, stay prayerful and write on!"
