Verse of the Day:
Ephesians 1:7
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace

My country tis of thee, was all I've ever known,
the ground beneath my feet has blessed me, from my humble beginnings from
which I've grown.
Winter brought Christmas around a tree that sparkled like jewels in the night,
Spring brought roses that fragranced our yard and blooms that were colorful and bright, Summer brought gardens filled with the ripest watermelon and sugar cane you could ever eat, Fall brought home my family to embrace, laugh and feast.
This is what I see, when they say, "The American Dream",
I see my home,
my school, and
my community,
I see myself biking down golden dirt roads,
sitting beneath shaded pear trees and running from bumble bees
I smell homemade biscuits drenched in honey, I taste blackberries from the bushes next to my swing, I see my grandmother making a new quilt for my bed,
I can feel the sweet spring wind as it breezes in the mornings
Every trip into town, wearing my best clothes, never knowing a stranger
and being surrounded with a kind of love that only a strong sense of unity could
bring
When I hear, "let freedom ring"
it's followed by the laughter of my friends and I as we rolled down hills
of green, the noisy bus rides home and the silence
of the evening of a school day well done.
My American dream is alive and well,
and as beautiful as it can be, I say it proudly, I say it strongly, from sea
to shining sea.
"For the love of life and the pursuit of the arts, stay prayerful and write on!"
