Verse of the Day:
Psalm 145:8
The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and great in faithful love.
Among my many hobbies and area's of interest, it isn't unlikely that you'll run into me on a discord gaming chat online OR within the worlds of Animal Crossing and Genshin Impact, two of my biggest gaming obsessions since the release of them both! However, I'm here to rave about my animal crossing adventures, why I'm still in love with it in spite of no new updates and how I keep myself entertained on my island of Nimue :).
My villagers are my heart!
Most of the villagers that live on Nimue are all my dreamies that I have fought very hard to find! Seeing them every day and watching them interact with one another, brings me a lot of joy. I love giving them gifts and watch them wear my custom designs, they obviously share my fashion taste and what's not to love about that!

AGGG, it's like they're having a play date with their joey's (cries) Kitt and Marcie are like the island moms who take care of the other villagers when I'm not there. My House
Speaking of things I work very hard on, let's talk about how Animal Crossing turned me into an interior design expert. (it's a joke, but I'm serious). There are SO many ways to decorate the inside of your island home and I constantly find myself on the hamster wheel of redecorating when I discover a new customize code, new carpet or flooring items and my favorite: discovering NEW items you can change or customize! (There are items, I had no idea you could change and its been a very happy time for me). Animal Crossing feels like a more innocent Sims game to me and if you know me, you'll know that it ALL started with a Sims game with me.

My island and its Lore
Okay so there's a lot that goes into this so go grab some coffee, its Story time: Sooooo, The island of Nimue is actually my SECOND island, the first one was Mariposa. When I lived on Mariposa, I was inspired by a Youtuber: Lex Play, to create a bit of a story to goes along with my Island, I even went so far as to create back stories for the characters that lived there! (i've shared a few as blogs earlier in life!) Mariposa's story was that before the island was inhabited by the villagers and myself, there was an enchantress who protected it, when a few animals came to her to hide from a group of humans trying to take them captive, she turned them into butterflies to protect them. The only way they could be turned back was if they came across a human with good intent to taking care of them: that's where I come in and find animals that were once butterflies to live on the island that I decide to call: Mariposa which means "Butterfly". Now, this island of Nimue is also special, it's named after the island of my book "Kingdom October", I've become more lenient with my decor but the land marks that represent parts of the book are still there. (sorry, no spoilers) but I will say that Kingdom October is my favorite short story and its Message is one that I live by, so to name this island after something so special just keeps me engaged with the game even more. (There is even a tribute to Mariposa).

On Nimue, I have "Mariposa National Forest" in honor of my first island :)
My history with the Game
From Animal Crossing Wild World, Animal Crossing New Leaf, and Animal Crossing Pocket camp: Complete (and before it was complete) to now, I have been a fan for years. When I found out they were releasing a game for android, I practically deleted EVERY app off of my phone just to have it. No regrets. I was there for every single anniversary celebration and I STILL have the items saved from those times. My loyalty to things I love is iron clad, I will be an animal crossing fan until the very end of time.

My Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Complete Card: Fun Fact: Rosie was the very first villager I ever had :) she is OG status!

Other Games I love and will probably blog about at some point:
Genshin Impact
What Remains of Edith Finch
Five Nights at Freddies (Sister location and Security Breach)
Animal Crossing Pocket Camp: Complete
Chulip (Ps2 players will know!)
Dangan Ronpa
Every single Haiku Murder Mystery Game ever!
Final Fantasy X, Rebirth and X-2
Do I have any Quill/Gamers out there? What do you like to play? Comment Below and remember:
