Verse of the Day:

Matthew 10:8

Freely you have received, freely give.

Morning light coming through the blinds is a very familiar ambiance to me, the way it peeks through the curtains, reminds me of my childhood room…I can almost see it…the pistachio green carpet that grandma bought for my room, the handmade curtains made from the left over fabric she used to make the teddy bear comforter on my bed, my stuffed animals lining the edge, some fallen over from my slumber….the wooden end table that first held my dollhouse before my first personal t.v and gaming system, the cubby on the side of my desk that held my nightlight, my grandmothers sewing machine that held my basket of clean clothes and the basket at the end of my bed for my dirty clothes.

I can see my first bookshelf made of beautiful dark wood, filled with barbie, goosebumps, 10 library books and an assortment of Christmas, Halloween and other holiday activity books, puzzles and various figurines my mom would bring me to decorate. I can see my radio sitting on top and my pet goldfish, Angela and Angelo. I see the posters on the wall, my drawings, pictures of my friends from school, my first bottle of perfume given to me by my best friend, my stationary box of stickers, temporary tattoos and letters from friends……I loved writing letters….I see the coloring book I left open on my desk and can smell the crayons in my coloring box and my Sponge Bob backpack in the corner already cleaned and ready for the next week,,,my Hannah Montana folder peaking out with my finished homework inside. My science book is sitting beneath it (sometimes I’d read it out of curiosity and I loved the pictures inside. My closet only had my best clothes and winter coat, along with books that couldn’t fit on my shelf, my toy box and a few other miscellaneous things….All under the glow of the morning light…….
