(This blog has a part 1 and 2, please go back and read before continuing)

If it is one thing I can say with upmost certainty, it is that nothing can prepare you for the ending of this book. Nothing. We are introduced to Jenna and Alice Metcalf, our mother and daughter elephant who are separated between the living and not yet (possible) deceased, We have Virgil, a failed detective who lives everyday as a stranger in the hopes that one day, he'll wake up and he won't have to pretend anymore because it won't matter. Serenity, a disconnected medium (or so she believes) who's misguidance in a cold case of an important clients son led her to ruins. There are moments where everything seemed to fall into place and that of moments where it took the life out of me trying to connect the dots.

I'll say this. Nothing is what you think is which makes it well worth the read.

My rating: 4 out of 5 Quills (I took one away for to gain back the aftershock of my life) definitely a suggested read.
