Verse of the day: Psalms 8:3-4 "When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained, what is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?"

Note from the Quill: I read and reviewed this book while on hiatus in November, hence the fall aesthetic!, but not to worry! I'll be sure to add in recent "Winter" appropriate titles as well!
Are you a fan of Graphic novels? Looking for the perfect autumn story to curl up with over a cup of hot chocolate? Pumpkin Heads is an adorable and quirky graphic novel written by Rainbow Rowell and Faith Erin Hicks about two college students preparing to leave their yearly jobs at their local pumpkin patch at the arrival of the new year. A classic take on the trials of new beginnings while taking time to appreciate the memories we leave behind. Our main duet: Deja and Josiah, proved themselves not only lovable from page one but down right precious, Deja being an energetic and outgoing individual doing everything she can to savor her last days in the patch all the while trying to convince Josiah to confess his love for a girl he's been eyeing for years, then our blonde and shy Josiah looking for reasons not to leave what he's always known and struggling to convince himself that leaving the patch isn't as bad as he thinks (not if it means he doesn't get his dream girl) !.
Without giving away too much to the ideal concept of "The one who's been here all along." but delivering it's message all the same, Rowell and Hicks take you on a hayride of unexpected surprises through the pumpkin patch to remind us that while there's nothing wrong with taking on new opportunities by the reigns, it serves us just as well to step back and reflect on all the adventures you've experienced and how they shaped you moving forward.
For the Heartfelt friendship and adventure of Deja and Josiah, it is shown that sometimes the best things that happen to us aren't fleeting romances or a new job. Sometimes the best things that happen to us have always been by our side or maybe right there in our faces. Someone that see's us for every greatness and flaw, has seen us at our highest highs and lowest of the lows and despite all this finds reason to not only love us but make themselves permanent cast members in every stage of our lives, for better or worse. :)

Quill Score: 10/10 Quills, it's taking every bit of me NOT to read this again :)
