Ever since I began reading "The Perks of Being a Wall flower", my brain muscles have been craving a good work out. :) It's an amazing feeling just to know that one of the quickest ways to bring a smile to my face is with a good book. It would seem I left my journal at work, (not to fret, it isn't out in the open) but nestled safely in my red tracking chart. That isn't to say I have nothing for you today.
"The perks of being a Wall Flower" is composed as a series of letters written by the main character from his point of view. I have gone through a tsunami of emotions and thoughts while reading this book, which is a good thing on account of the fact that if it did not it would be very easy to put down. The main characters name is Charlie and so far I am quite fond of him but not because who he is but who I can see him becoming in the end. He's a well rounded person who's true to himself, honest, and does not seem to realize just how valuable he is to the story, he reminds me of one of our students who's name I won't say. I thought of writing a letter in response to his as a form of prose and I mean that in the most endearing way. That letter will be in part 2 of this segment and the blog I originally had in mind will be part 3. Stay Tuned!

When I think of Charlie, I think of the color green. It's a rather soothing color that contrasts strongly against darker colors....just like a wall flower :).
