Verse of the Day:

Matthew 5:6

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.

I absolutely live for the integration of different artistic forms and expressions. I read an article from Elle magazine entitled "How Literature Became Fashions Main Character" and it was a beautiful reminder of how the classics of the arts will always have its roots in our cultures and emphasizes what I've been saying about art for years: it's everywhere and everything. Another testament to this love story between art worlds is the uniting of different music genre's, one of my favorites being that of pop and rap (particularly when Taylor Swift did "Bad Blood" with Kendrick Lamar) and yes, I DID find a reason to talk about him again...bite me....

The inclusion of jazz, opera and Latin style music samples with rap and hip/hop lyrics has been very interesting and I must admit, very entertaining. Just recently I rediscovered the cinematic masterpiece that was the launch of one of Bulgari's jewelry collections, featuring Anne Hathaway and Zendaya called: Unexpected Wonders. The promotion of this jewelry collaboration was MAGIC and serves as another brilliant example of visual art meets story telling.

The red carpet is not exclusive to the call of creative worlds colliding: At this

years Grammy's, New and upcoming artist and award winner of "Best New Artist", Chappell Roan wore a stunning dress that portrayed Egdar Degas's "Dancer with a Bouquet" painting and this isn't the first time that classical art has graced celebrity gowns or has been inspired by works of art: Let's talk about the 2022 Met Gala shall we? Starting with Black Lively's jaw dropping tribute to the statue of liberty as it eroded from its original copper color to the rustic green we see today, and Zendaya's iconic glowing Cinderella dress from 2019 (the ONLY thing about that look was that I wished it was more of a traditional corset look for the bodice but the presentation was made to be cherished by Disney lovers and fashion enthusiasts alike!)

As a creator, I will always look for inspiration from different parts of the art community, and all that comes with it. I believe it is of great importance to share our stories and experiences with one another, it's how history lives and thrives, and it's how beautiful memories are born and cherished.

What's your take? Do you believe that art is larger than the traditional sense? comment below and remember:

"For the love of life and the pursuit of the arts, stay prayerful and write on!"

HONORABLE MENTION: Met Gala 2018: Heavenly Bodies, SPECIFICALLY, Ariana Grande's look....., you are welcome :D
