Verse of the Day: This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh." Galatians 5:16

Setting aside a time just to write can be an intimidating and daunting task for some of us. It leaves us with no choice but to follow through or abandon it and guilt trip ourselves for it.

let me make this easier for you: there will NEVER be a perfect time to write... it's something you have to make for yourself and it doesn't always have to apply to larger projects or things to be published or showcased. Taking time to write a letter ,journal entry or schedule perhaps is allowing yourself the space to put words on paper and that is important to the lifespan of any writer, especially if they are considering going professional. Becoming an author took time I had to make to write just for the sake of it. My motto for the Ebony Quill is "for the love of life and literature, stay prayerful, stay positive and write on." want to know why? In order to write you must acknowledge of life, including the creator of Life himself!

Acknowledgment of God is acknowledgment of your gifts and abilities to write. In order to write to the fullest extent of your abilities you must love and have respect for the art of writing itself. In order to write you must pray and understand that all inspiration of that which is good comes from God. In order to write you must keep yourself in a clear and conscious mindset , a firm foundation to stand on, a means to an end in a way to write with a soundness of mind. This way you aren't just putting words on paper you're also immersing yourself into the world you are creating.

In order to write, you must pick up your pen pencil open up your laptop and get started. Writing does not get done by talking about it....that's not how anything gets done. There's nothing wrong with expressing your inspiration but you must be able to put the words on the paper writing requires action and it starts with your schedule! so the question remains...how badly do you want it?

"For the love of life and literature, stay prayerful, stay positive, and write on!"
