Verse of the day: "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." Mark 11:24

The Heart is a Muscle Too!

I suppose now is the time to work out my writing muscles, my pen will be the dumbbell to share how I discovered Mariposa! Here we go!

Until I found this great place, I only believed that physical training was the surefire way to happiness. I’d been training my mind and body since I was only a kitten living with my grandpa on the island of Muso, it’s filled with some of Animal Crossing's best athletes! My grandfather was a pro wrestler until he retired. He stressed to me that I needed to take good care of myself, and in due time I followed in his footsteps, taking his place as one of the toughest fighters on Muso. I won many trophies and was recognized by many recruiters… I even received an invite to the Olympics….yet something felt missing and I couldn’t help but feel that maybe…. I was moving too fast…

I decided to take a break and travel to other islands, no matter where I went, I would be hounded by residents for pictures and such…just when it seemed I couldn’t find any peace, I discovered a small island called Mariposa.. At first, my fast-paced nature couldn’t really relate to the place, I admit I even found it boring… there are only 10 residents on the entire island, and the rest of the place is filled with gardens, fountains, statues, and cliff sides. There’s a small shop to purchase things from: they had a surprisingly large inventory… I’d explored every nook and cranny of the place when I ran into…….her…..the only human on the entire island and admittedly the first I’d met in person, she had brown skin and huge sparkly eyes, she seemed thrilled to see me and asked what brought me there…I ended up talking to her for hours, not really like me, talking to people…I’m usually much too busy for that.

I looked around at Mariposa and at Jasmine…that was her name….everything was so wide and open and free….and peaceful…I turned to her and asked if there was any land available. She promptly told me there was a slot that just opened up and I was free to move in whenever I liked..

The land my house was to be built on was right next to the beach, perfect for a morning jog..or maybe….just to sit and watch the sun set for once and wonder where its patience came from…..yeah….
