Verse of the Day: "And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord." Ephesians 6:4

I'll be blunt, I'm personally not a fan of the new and forthcoming AI technology. Quite frankly, I don't think I'll ever be, and I know that isn't fair, it's just where I am currently. My argument is in no way logos, I don't have an extensive amount of research or background information that will backup what I'm about to say. This is a matter of my opinion. AI is bad news to creators of EVERY background.
For me, painting and writing are intimate arts, ones that I have devoted all of my childhood and young adult life to, in the hopes of one day pursuing my passion as a profession. Something I took years to develop into my style and taste. I've grown accustomed to hearing "I can go buy that from *insert big store name*...." but I don't think I'm mentally or spiritually prepared for "I can get AI, to do that for me in no time!" It's going to completely out-mode traditionalists across various platforms of arts and entertainment. Then what?
Maybe it's me being scared of the new shiny things, simply because I don't understand it....What's worse is that I have no desire to understand it. Someone created artificial intelligence to aid people, when in reality it will take the place of people. Companies that don't want to hire or pay for labor will reap the benefits of AI the most.
I do not expect many people to agree with me on this matter, as long as AI makes a task easier, it will be seen as an asset. I'm not judging those who choose to lean on this revolutionary breakthrough that is Ai...because it IS in fact revolutionary in the field of technological achievements...HOWEVER there has never been progress in history that moved without blood somewhere down the line.
Call me a grandma, or old fashioned
but, I don't trust AI or its creators.
"For the love of life and literature, stay prayerful, stay positive and write on!"
