Verse of the Day: Colossians 1:16 "For by him, all things were created, in heaven and in earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities- all things were created through him and for him.
*A brief reflective statement on recognizing God as CREATOR and how it began my personal, spiritual journey towards healing through creativity.
My spiritual journey is of great importance to me, and I would love to share that journey with you all, happy reading!

Genesis 1:1 states “In the Beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”, my focus rests on the word CREATED. God was and is the very first artist that ever lived. His work is unattainable and irreplicable to the hands of man, as it was his own that molded the very hands of mankind. My personal relationship with God began through recognizing him in my abilities and gifts and acknowledging him as creator of creators.
He paints, he sculpts, he molds, he wields, he weaves, he sings, he dances…and his work, through his words, they LIVE. WE are the work of THE masters hands…it enchants me in so many ways, in time I began to see the connection of nature and man and how splendid it all was and is. So perfectly balanced in texture, color, pattern and light. We are gradient in complexion, as is the very earth we stand on. We have veins beneath our skin just as a leaf does. Our eyes can compare to galaxies with the colors of jewels and stones. God’s color palette is infinite, he IS multi-media at its finest.

When I work, I understand that I can not do so without his hand to guide me in doing so. I ask that he continue to hold the paintbrush and pen, and I thank him for the power and beauty of his divine gifts with the understanding that they are not mine for myself. Colossians 1:16 states that “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. . . ” it was this that gave me the fire that I so dearly needed and gave me the purpose I sought so desperately for. My work became fulfilling and meaningful because now I understand that my gifts are his and are to be used for him. It has been a beautiful journey in exploration of my faith through the creative lens. Art is many things, subjective, provocative and inviting, to its very DNA, it is a life all its own that we as humans merely attempt to mortalize, but it does not need us for God IS art.
