When we create a character, it is important to keep in mind that certain parts of their personality must be developed based on three important things:

1. Their backstory

2. Their objective

3. Their role

1. We all come from somewhere. Your characters must not only be readable but relatable. If they are a homeless man who was once a famous tv anchor or the last of a dying breed, ask yourself, how did they get there? Where your character comes from matters on the road to where they're going, hence their "development".

2. Each of us has a special and divine purpose in the eyes of God. You must in turn give purpose to your creations. Are they set out to becoming the best in their profession? Lookinh for love or friendship? It counts. If you know what your character desires, its easier to create a world favorable to the events leading to their desires. There has to be a finish line set in place somewhere.

3. Each character is a puzzel piece. Your job in concerns to placing them in the story is figuring out how they are connected to the story itself and other characters. Are they the secret son of an affair, the unsub who's siblings with the head investigator?, no matter the piece you must find a connection.

A strong character builds a strong story 😁 keep writing!
