With every era and the people born into it, wherein there lyes a special set of people, things and events that purpose to shape it. All these things can be classified as "Classic" and untouchable and irreplaceable element to a certain time period. A classic is usually someone or something of high ranking value and esteem so it can not be replicated to it's original glory. The Mona Lisa is a classic form of art, if someone were to replicate such a piece to perfection they could mark their lives in the book of history. Fur Elise is a classic composition by Beethoven, Swan Lake is a classic ballad by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky along with Othello by Shakespeare. The Golden trend spreads into our own childhood classics with Walt Disney's Cinderella, Snow White, The little Mermaid and so many more that have marked a time and place for its admirers.
The ground of time is rich for the planting of some new classics and everyday, more of them emerge. In literature however, I see a new trend of repetition, out of fear of being out of touch with the times and not being the new hottest thing. In spite of how negatively people may feel about Twilight. That book marked a new age for something and thousands of people. No, it is't the age of Dracula or Nosferatu but what it IS for Edward and Jacob. Divergant, The Mortal Instruments, The Hunger Games, these newborns of the new classics for the early to late 2000 era will always be remembered.
"For the love of life and literature, stay prayerful, stay positive, and write on!"
