For those of you who have followed me since the beginning, I know it's been a never ending cycle of- a few months of consistent posts and then all of a sudden, I go ghost...it has not helped to maintain readers trust nor does it speak well of me as a creator...I'll take the blame for that....the same energy that I gave to Tik Tok, Facebook and Instagram, I could have been using to build on and develop my own platform ....but no, I used them as a reason to continuously abandon my work for the sake of hyping up someone else's...and if you've been an active supporter, follower, and reader from the very beginning, I truly am sorry. I keep looking for spaces to fit in when I could have been working on the space I created....and from the very bottom of my heart...thank you for being here. :)

If you are here from Tik Tok, Welcome, I'm very happy to have you here. I've been a blogger for about 9 years. The Ebony Quill was once just my username on Tumblr (still available to read by the way!) I decided to create my own blog site as a means to an end when it comes to being a part of a community where my voice was actually heard...I used platforms to draw attention to my site, but all my attempts have been in vain. Even with thousands of followers and so called "Friends", my blog reads could hardly get past 3 views and I have no one to blame but myself. I invested entirely too much energy in getting other people ahead and that's not to say that I regret supporting others, I just wish I'd poured into myself just as much. The Ebony Quill should have been and will be a household name...and now that my chapter on Tik Tok has come to an end, I'm ready to truly give this my all. In the coming weeks, I'll be actively working to make this a place where I fully express who I am while inviting others to share in the conversation.

The month of June will be a very eventful time here on the Quill, I'll officially be re-opening my at home art business, Jcreations by Jcr8's and I'll be participating in this years Artopia! (I'll be speaking more on that as the days continue) but for now,
